In most small companies nobody decided to use AI. People simply started, because it saves them hours. The work happens wherever they happen to be logged in.
A colleague builds a reporting script with an AI assistant on a personal account. It runs on her laptop and pulls figures from your accounting export. Nobody else knows it exists until she leaves, and the script, the prompts and the know-how leave with her.
A contractor builds you a tool on his own machine. At the end of the project you get a zip file, if you ask for it. A laptop is left on a train with customer files in a local folder. And one day a customer sends a questionnaire with a simple question: where exactly is our data, and who has access to it?
Banning AI does not solve this; people work around the ban. What works is giving AI an official place in the company, with clear access and a backup.

Set-up
We prepare the server, VPN keys, editor and backups. You get the access details for each person.
Onboarding
We walk your team through logging in, working in the browser or VS Code and connecting the AI tools they use.

We run updates, monitoring, backups and restore tests. You tell us when someone joins or leaves, and we add or remove the access.

Do my people need to be developers?
No. If they can work with an AI assistant in a browser, they can work in an AI Workspace. We set everything up and show your team how to use it. Developers get the same environment with VS Code and Docker.
What happens when someone leaves?
You tell us, and we revoke their VPN key within one business day, or at any time on the 24/7 plan. From then on they have no access to the server. Everything they built stays on the server for the rest of the team.
Where is our data and what goes to the AI provider?
Files, repositories and results are stored on your dedicated server in an EU data centre. What is sent to an AI provider depends on the AI tool and provider you choose, because the tool sends your prompts and the context it needs. We help you choose providers with this in mind, and we sign a data processing agreement with you for the server.
What do AI tools cost on top?
You use your own subscriptions or API keys and pay the AI provider directly, so you see that cost on your own invoice. Our price covers the server and its operation.
Is it really one server just for us?
Yes. Each customer gets a dedicated server that is not shared with any other company. Several people from your team and your contractors work on it, each with their own access.
Microsoft Dev Box is closing. Can we move to you?
Yes. Microsoft no longer accepts new Dev Box customers and plans to retire the service in September 2028. An AI Workspace is a Linux environment with Docker; your people can connect from Windows, macOS or an iPad. We look at your current setup and plan the move with you.
