TechOneOps Infrastructure Health Audit

Know exactly where your infrastructure stands.

The TechOneOps Infrastructure Health Audit is an independent, standalone review of your servers, cloud or Kubernetes environment by engineers who run production systems every day. You get written findings ranked by priority and a practical action plan, whether or not you continue with us.

6

Areas reviewed, from architecture to CI/CD

1–2 wk

Typical duration, depending on the environment

P1–P4

Every finding rated by priority and impact

Most problems are visible before they cause an outage.

Expired certificates, backups nobody has restored, monitoring that never alerts, access that was never revoked. These risks build up quietly in every environment that has grown over time.

The audit makes them visible. It is the right first step if you are considering handing over operations, preparing a migration, or simply want to know whether your infrastructure is as solid as it looks.

What we review

We adapt the scope to your environment. A typical audit covers these areas, and we add others where your setup needs it.

Architecture and inventory

How the environment is built, what actually runs where, and what is left over in the provider console: unused disks, snapshots, IP addresses.

Security and access

Who has access to what, exposed endpoints, firewall rules, secrets handling and accounts that should no longer exist.

Updates and patching

Operating system, database and component versions, pending security patches and how updates are applied.

Backups and recoverability

What is backed up, where the backups are stored, how long they are kept, and whether a restore actually works.

Monitoring, alerting and logs

Which metrics are collected, whether alerts reach the right people, and whether logs help when something goes wrong.

Deployment and CI/CD

How changes reach production, how configuration is versioned, and how quickly a bad release can be rolled back.

How the audit works

01

Access and handover

We agree the scope, receive access and talk to the people who know the environment today.

02

Configuration review

We go through infrastructure code, deployment configuration and repositories.

03

Live verification

We verify selected parts directly in the running environment. Each finding states whether it comes from configuration or from the live system.

04

Report and walkthrough

You receive a written report and we walk through the findings and next steps with you.

What you receive

A written report you can act on immediately: a summary of each area, findings rated by priority and impact, and numbered recommendations with the expected outcome.

Example — illustrative findings

Findings at a glance

PriorityFindingImpact
P1 CriticalDatabase backups are created but have never been test-restoredRecovery after data loss is uncertain
P2 HighTLS certificate renewal depends on a manual stepRisk of an unplanned outage on expiry
P3 MediumAlerts are sent to a shared mailbox nobody monitors at nightIncidents are noticed late
P4 LowUnused volumes and snapshots in the provider consoleUnnecessary monthly costs

The example is illustrative. Your report reflects your own environment.

After the audit

The report is yours to use with your own team or another provider. If you continue with TechOneOps, it becomes the baseline for regular preventive checks: every following check is compared with it, so you can see what has improved and what has changed.

An availability (uptime) commitment can also be agreed once we know the environment from the audit.

Good to know

Questions about the audit.

How long does an audit take?

Typically one to two weeks, depending on the size of the environment and how quickly access can be arranged.

What do you need from us?

Access to the agreed systems and repositories, and a contact person who knows the environment. We agree the details before we start.

Do we have to sign up for managed operations afterwards?

No. The audit is a standalone service and the report is yours to keep. It is also the natural starting point for managed operations, but that decision is yours.

Do you only audit environments on Hetzner?

No. We review environments with other cloud providers and on your own servers too. If a move makes sense, the audit shows what a migration would involve.

Start with a clear picture.

Tell us about your environment. We reply within one business day and propose an audit scope and timeline in writing. No commitment to managed operations.
